Common questions
How many people can play?
Up to 20 players can be online at once. Up to 200 distinct players can join over time.
Do we need to start at the same time?
No. Friends can join at any point and see the current board. They can keep playing after you leave.
How do we return to a game?
Save the game link. Progress is saved on our server, so you can return from another device. Anyone with the link can join.
I lost the link. Can I find it again?
Check your browser history, bookmarks, or shared messages, or ask another player. In an unfinished game, select the timer to view the link and player list.
When does a game expire?
Games are deleted after 30 days of inactivity, including completed games.
Can friends join my solo puzzle?
Creating a multiplayer game starts a new board. Your solo progress stays saved in this browser.
Can we pause or change the settings?
Multiplayer games cannot be paused. Piece count, shape, and rotation are fixed; create a new game to change them.
Why does the edge button change?
With two or more players online, or once the border is complete, Edges only becomes Rearrange. It moves loose pieces instead of hiding them.
Can two players move the same piece?
Only one player can hold a piece at a time. A completed game counts as one puzzle completion.
Why can’t I join or create a game?
Check the message: the game may be full, the link may have expired, or the service may be busy. For a busy service, wait a moment and reload. If the game is already open in another tab, use that tab.
What if the connection drops?
The player reconnects automatically after a connection loss. Check your internet connection. If it stays disconnected, try another network; some networks block the live connections the game needs.
